I work out of my home office, and I’m a self professed tv addict. I’d never had one in my office before, but figured out just the perfect spot to wall mount it, and next thing you know, I had this Dynex in my hand. I’m not a supremely picky person, but I’ve never had a more affordable brand tv(insignia, dynex, etc)because in that respect I stayed snobby. My living room tv is an LG. But for the price of this, I was willing to waver on brand loyalty, yetI wanted to do my homework before just randomly buying any old thing.

I bought this TV on 12-6-06 from HH Gregg. They were running a one-day sale and I stole this TV for 999.97, and I couldn’t be happier. I searched for a while trying to find a new HDTV that looked great, with my budget I wanted one around 00. I don’t have cable or Satellite (yet), but the salesman through in an RCA HDTV Antenna for free, and I can pick up the local HD channels and they look unbelievable. This TV also has an option that changes the screen color due to the light level in the room (Day: Dynamic, Day: Normal, and Night). If you’re thinking of buying a new HDTV and you’re on a smaller budget that A Sony SXRD will allow, I very highly recommend this set.

I have been holding off on a flat screen for awhile. I already had a HD Tv but it was only 30″. I wanted a deal and decent specs. So I searched and searched and this was it for me. I purchased and received this beauty faster then the estimated time. I watched Blu ray’s on my PS3 with my wife and smiled like a little kid on christmas morning. Shortly thereafter I noticed quirks. My wife says I’m anal but notices these discrepencies as well. Just not as much as myself. 240 HZ makes a visual effect as if there is no auto balance to a camera man’s hold when recording. So it feels as if you are recording the movie live and every little bounce and pause is noticed. I don’t like it and my wife get’s a bit queezy . so we turn 240 off or low more so then not. One more thing (again due to me being anal) I’ve noticed 3 grey lines going horizontally on the screen. Only on light panning backgrounds. Besides these complaints I’d give a 4.5/5 I really do love this TV just could do without the quirks.
