Refurbished TV. I received the set 5 days after I ordered so the shipping service was excellent. The warranty is only 30 days but the price was right and most electronic failures occur during the burn-in period so I am not too uncomfortable with short warranty. The TV has a broad selection of input and output connections including a headphone plug-in. The picture is clear and bright and audio volume and clarity are very good. I am using it as a bedroom TV with Dish Network. No problems with setup and the menu is pretty intuitive with extensive control selections. I have noted several reviewers have had problems coding their remote controls. My Dish Remote seems to work fine with the code 902. The supplied Remote is above average in features and the controls are laid out in a logical manner. There are dedicated buttons for the most used features so you don’t have to go to the menu for things like the sleep timer, Closed Caption or aspect ratio. I tried it with rabbit ears antenna and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the reception and the number of channels I could receive. I live about 30 miles north of Houston and the scan picked up 35 channels. About 25 channels were solid watchable signals. So far I would have to say I’m very pleased with my purchase.

There is so much to like about this TV from LG.

We switched from an old 26″ tube TV to this 55″ LCD. My wife’s comment after the first couple of movies we watched (DVD & Blu-Ray) was something like, “This is going to take some getting used to. I wasn’t prepared for all the detail that we never saw in our old TV.”

I had originally purchased a lt-46144. Having owned Mitsubishi televisions (mostly their Diamond line) for almost 20 years now I was not impressed with either the quality or picture of that LCD. The very common (vertical) line problems was a constant hastle, so I opted for the 52 inch upgrade….Let me start by simplistics….First off, the 240 smooth motion flow was amazing. It honestly looks as if I am looking at a scene through glass. When using it for gaming, the colors and motion of the refresh rate is just amazing. Hooked up to my PS3, the films are just vivid with clarity and color.

We bought this TV via Amazon during Christmas. Now, after four months of ownership, I can say with full authority that we are glad we own it. I note with satisfaction that the price is currently more than we paid, indicating that the market has spoken in agreement with us.
