Review : Panasonic VIERA TC-P50G25 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV :
**Disclaimer: As of this review date, I have only had the TV for a couple of weeks; so I could not really tell you about any issues that could develop (as with any TV) over time.
This television is perhaps the best I’ve ever seen in it’s own right, but then combine that with the price that’s being offered and you really have an unbeatable deal!

Review : Panasonic PT-50LC13 50-Inch TheaterWide HDTV-Ready Projection LCD TV :
The reason I dont buy Panasonic anymore. – R. Laratta – NJ
This TV was the worst purchase I made in my life. Ive been through 3 lamps and am having problems again. I let my wife talk me into spending 150 for a lamp instead of buying a new TV. Huge mistake. This TV has caused me embarassment, frustration and hopelessness. Panasonic should have taken care of their customers when they bought this lemon. There was a class action lawsuit but unfortunately I missed the boat. Regardless I will not buy a Panasonic again, not because they are not usually a good product but because of how the company handled this situation, which was caveat emptor at its worst.
surprised – movie fan –
i have only had the HDVT for a little over a year – and i do NOT watch that much TV. Yet – i see a line (red) running through my TV – totally unacceptable for more than ,000 spent – when my prior LCD lasted 5 years (and I bought the FLOOR MODEL), and my OLD Zenith TV – old school – had beautiful picture for 10 years. disappointed. My brother’s HDTV looked just fine – wish I had read more reviews first – but had heard very good news…
Completely Unreliable … – Ron Sullivan – Philadelphia, PA United States
First, I need to disclose a bit of my the back-story regarding how I came into this TV. About 4 years or so ago I bought this second-hand as a gift to myself for a new job that I’d gotten. The LCD’s hadn’t yet become an industry standard, and the CRT’s were already obsolete. Rear projection DLP was really the best option out there at the time. So after shopping classified ads for awhile, I eventually came across this model from Panasonic and I jumped at it. I bought it for a SONG compared to what other similar pieces were selling for at the time. It didn’t have HDMI inputs (which was something that really gave me a little pause), but in the end the picture quality with component cables was still able to support a 1080i picture (which was what I wanted) … so I was in.

Review : Hitachi 50VS69A 50-Inch 720p LCD Projection HDTV :
I bought this TV on 12-6-06 from HH Gregg. They were running a one-day sale and I stole this TV for 999.97, and I couldn’t be happier. I searched for a while trying to find a new HDTV that looked great, with my budget I wanted one around 00. I don’t have cable or Satellite (yet), but the salesman through in an RCA HDTV Antenna for free, and I can pick up the local HD channels and they look unbelievable. This TV also has an option that changes the screen color due to the light level in the room (Day: Dynamic, Day: Normal, and Night). If you’re thinking of buying a new HDTV and you’re on a smaller budget that A Sony SXRD will allow, I very highly recommend this set.

Review : Sony Grand WEGA KF-50WE610 50-Inch HDTV-Ready LCD Rear Projection TV :
We have had this TV for about 4 years. I think I bought in 2004. In any case, if it was a good compromise, because flat-panel LCD TV was very expensive and the quality of plasma as a crapshoot. And DLP was the big thing back then. No more. Therefore, the resolution of this TV is 1024 x 848th Yes, only a remarkable resolution, what it really means is that you are a hair larger than most widescreen TV's. But its not 1080p. In addition, it has an ATSC tuner – if you want HDTV, you need to buy a separatetuner for it. I knew this when I bought it. Cable company HDTV box will also work. It has NO HDMI connections. Only 1 DVI connector, the rest are component Y/Pb/Pr connections and RCA jacks. But at the time DVI was all the rage and HDMI didnt exist.
